About the Poet

Shannon Lynette, or as some of you know her as Lady on a Wire, is a poetess who resides in Albany, New York. Her poetry is edgy, razor sharp, and sprinkled with some feminine flair.

Shannon is the author of the titles A Place with No Name (2003), Lady on a Wire (2012), Awkward Years (2022), I’m Not Dead (2024) and recently Kissing Strangers (2025).  She co-authored, co-edited, and published Skeletons (2013), an anthology by her publishing press, Lady Chaos Press.  Shannon is also the editor and publisher of four other anthologies, Old Hollywood (2013), Twenty Seven Signs (2014), Headlines and Tragedies (2017), and Other Side of August (2024).

 Shannon co-authored Razorville (2023), with writer and poet friend Mike Zone, which was the result of a poem battle on TikTok. She reworked and released a second edition of her first book, A Place with No Name, and titled it A Place with No Name, Re/Versed (2023).

Through the years, Shannon’s poetry has appeared in several anthologies. Among them are The Universe inside (Poehemian Press, 2012), Bedroom Anatomy Lessons (Dumpster Fire Press, 2022), Evening, Wine, and Poetry (Wingless Dreamer, 2022), Rhapsodies of Rhyme (Wingless Dreamer, 2023), Whispers Of a Wildflower (Collected Poems by Lizzie Bex, 2023), Ovation (Collected Poems by Jimmy Broccoli, 2024), and Lilith (Collected Poems by Jimmy Broccoli, 2024). 

Shannon’s poem, My Mind is an Asylum, is currently featured online for the Wild Sound online festival in the Horror category and her poem, Muffled Echoes is currently featured in the Scumrag newspaper.
