Lady Chaos Press is now open for submissions! We are looking for submissions for our next anthology that will be titled The Burning Season. Please read ALL information on this page for rules and guidelines. Thank you for your interest in sharing your poetry with us.
Please include:
-Up to 3 original works, each WITH A TITLE
-A short cover letter with how many poems you are submitting and the pen name you want to be identified as.
-A short bio of up to 5 sentences written in 3rd person.
Email submissions to LadyChaosPress@gmail.com with “The Burning Season” in the subject line. Deadline is March 20, 2026. Publication date for anthology will be posted at a later time. Allow 4 to 6 weeks to get a response. Please read all guidelines below before submitting.
General Submission Guidelines
- All styles of poetry are accepted.
- Both new and seasoned writers are encouraged to submit their work.
- Entries must be in English
- Contest and events are open to anyone 18 yrs. of age or above at the time of submission.
- Depending on the type of poetry contest or event being held at the time, you will be asked to submit a number of poems and accompanying guidelines as to what is acceptable.
- All works including poems and prose, must have a title and edited to the best of your abilities. Submissions with grammatical errors may hinder acceptance.
- If the current poetry contest or event has a listed theme, your submissions must go with said theme, otherwise your work will be rejected.
- When submitting your entry, the title of the event you are submitting to MUST be in the subject line of your email. If it’s not, it will be rejected.
- You, the writer/author of any works you submit, retain all rights to your work. You do, however, allow Lady Chaos Press one time only publishing rights (if your work is published in an anthology or other book project). If your work is accepted in any type of publication, contest or event, LCP may feature your work on Lady Chaos Press’s social media. If you would like to halt the sharing of your work, just email LadyChaosPress@gmail.com with your request.
- We seek original, previously unpublished works upon submission. This includes any social media, self-publishing, traditional publishing, and submission to another press, event, or competition (this is due to conflicting publishing rights with another press etc.).
*More specific guidelines will be shared at the time of each contest or event. All guidelines MUST be followed, or your submission will be immediately rejected.
**Lady Chaos Press is a small independent publishing press. We do not give out royalties. All poems or artwork that is submitted for publication or entered in contests are with the understanding that the owner of the work will not receive payment of any kind. Rather, we will publish your accepted work/works in either an anthology or over social media to give you exposure as a written word/visual artist. Prizes may also be given in the form of Lady Chaos Press swag.
***All anthologies published by LCP will be in paperback form unless otherwise stated and will be available for purchase on Amazon.com.
